Play winter lacrosse with a LA team!
Loyola, Grayslake North Grab #1 Seeds

Loyola nabbed the #1 seed in the A-Class IHSLA playoff tournament while Grayslake North took the post position for the B-Class playoff.

This is Loyola's second straight year as the #1 seeded team in the race for the State Championship. In 2011, they lost to #2 New Trier in the final and relinquished a golden opportunity to break the Trevian's six-year State Championship win streak. This year, New Trier is far back in the rankings and it looks like the Ramblers' turn to finally take the title. Lake Forest grabbed this year's #2 position with Saint Viator and Wheaton Warrenville South rounding out the top four spots. In a surprise voting result, Waubonsie Valley, ranked #2 on just about every ratings chart, received the #6 seed in the tournament.

In the B-Class playoff which decides the winner of the Lacrosse Cup, Grayslake North sits in the #1 seed position. The Knights are looking to run the table and avenge their embarrassing loss to Waubonsie Valley in the 2011 Lacrosse Cup Championship game. With Waubonsie Valley now competing in the A-Class, Grayslake North is the overwhelming favorite to land the Cup this year. Lake Zurich holds the #2 seed in the tournament, while O'Fallon Township and Grayslake Central took the #3 and #4 spots. O'Fallon Township, the only team from downstate Illinois in the IHSLA tournament, hasn't played many Chicagoland teams, but their strong showing against Missouri teams put them in a competitive position for this playoff.
