Daily Herald iPhone / Android App Now Available
The Daily Herald has invested considerable effort to support Illinois high school
lacrosse by providing special journalistic coverage this season and by creating
a lacrosse-specific app for the iphone and Android phone. The app consolidates their
lacrosse news coverage with the schedules, scores, field
locations, rosters and standings from this website. This app is now available
via iTunes and the Android Market for $0.99.
While we aren't responsible for the app, we can help support it in three ways.
1. Provide timely game score updates. Timely updates
on the IHSLA website makes the app more attractive. It would be ideal if we could
get same-day game score updates by the winning team's designated administrator.
2. Update your home field addresses. The app uses the addresses
from the field locations to trigger Google Directions and Google Maps for your fans.
Please make sure they are accurate.
3. Update your season outlook. The app displays a season outlook
for each varsity team which has been populated from the pre-season coverage by the
Daily Herald. You are free to change it on the "Team Info" page.
The sport of lacrosse continues to grow quickly, and the special coverage and app
support by the Daily Herald provides even more exposure to the public. Please help
us provide the Daily Herald with the information it needs to promote the sport we
love.
