Play winter lacrosse with a LA team!
Lacrosse in Germany... Is It For You?

Are you interested in a foreign exchange program with German lacrosse families? The German-American Lacrosse Exchange helps German lacrosse players find host families in the US which have lacrosse at their high schools. In turn, American students and coaches can spend a semester abroad helping German schools develop lacrosse programs.

Many German high school students spend a semester abroad on foreign exchange programs. Some of the German lacrosse players studying in the US return home disappointed when their host families live in districts which don’t offer lacrosse. The German-American Lacrosse Exchange wants to find lacrosse families in the US who would be willing to host German players so they can continue to participate in the sport they love while they are in our country.

American students who are interested in studying abroad in Germany will find there are few schools which sponsor lacrosse teams. Many US lacrosse players forgo a foreign exchange experience because of the lack of playing opportunities and exposure abroad. The German-American Lacrosse Exchange wants to help pair US lacrosse players with German host families in school districts with lacrosse. US players can experience the thrill of helping to grow the sport in a country where lacrosse is still in its infancy. The Exchange is also seeking US college players and coaches who are interested in spending a semester or a year in Germany helping local schools start lacrosse programs.
